plantar fasciitis

Plantar Fascia is a think band of tissue that attaches on either end of the foot to the toes and the heel.   It is not uncommon for this tissue to be overused and become inflamed.  When this occurs it can create pain and tightness along the bottom of the foot along the arch and heel.  The pain is typically worse in the morning, as it loosens as the day goes on.  Pain can increase with walking and exercise when the fascia becomes tightened.
